Protective Gaiter

The polyurethane protective gaiter protects the suspension of passenger cars from stone impacts.

The material used for the new protective gaiter is much more flexible and has greater rebound strength than the standard material manufactured using thermoplastic polymers. This makes it significantly more robust.

The new developments include a protective gaiter for premium-class passenger cars. Attached inside the wheel arch, it protects the components making up the vehicle's air suspension from stone impact, thereby extending the service life of this sensitive area. What is particularly special about this new version from Continental is the material used, which Continental has developed specifically for such applications. Its main component is thermoplastic polyurethane. It is much more flexible and has greater rebound strength than the standard material manufactured from thermoplastic polymers. This makes it significantly more robust. Tests have confirmed the resistance of the material to abrasion.
